My Car is Shipped HOW??

It is not uncommon to see a stressed customer who is upset when they find out exactly HOW their car will be shipped. This incident occurred on a chilly October evening. Vitaliy, our only driver at the time, was supposed to pick up a vehicle in Connecticut and deliver it to a rail yard, when he arrived to the pick up location it became known that the car is being shipped to California. On a train. In a container. With 3 other cars in the same container.
The customer was upset because he had prepaid full price for the shipping of the car, requesting an "enclosed" trailer to make sure that there is no damage. Thinking he got a good deal he was waiting for the Broker, however, told him that the car will be moved by an enclosed 2 car carrier directly to California.
Customer is furious. Our truck is now late to the other delivery. Customer is arguing with brokers. Brokers are arguing with the customer. Owner of the car refuses to hand over the keys to the driver... he even refuses to show where the car is located.
To make this 3 hours story short, after spending almost 3 hours waiting, and trying to not to add more oil to the flames, our truck had to go carry on without this vehicle.
Moral of the story:
1) If the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
2) You have the right to know HOW your vehicle will be shipped.
Dessant Transport in not your typical transport.
